Here is a sampling of recordings that feature Apitius mandolins, from jazz to blues, bluegrass and traditional Scotts/Irish music.

A few audio and video tracks featuring Apitius Mandolins can be found further down this page. While no recording can sound exactly like the actual mandolin, these recordings do demonstrate how well an Apitius mandolin sounds in the studio. I find “The Young Mandomonsters” tracks particularly interesting in that, they have Adam Steffey and Dan Tyminski, two undisputable greats, recording their tracks with the same Apitius mandolin and in the same recording studio. It’s interesting to hear the subtle differences in tonality, these two masters get from the same instrument.

Submissions to be included in this list are welcome. Just send me a jpeg. of your CD artwork and relavent information and I will try to get it posted here.

The video clip above is a bare bones representation of the Apitius sound.

It was recorded on a cell phone with no audio augmentation such as equalization or reverb.
